PresbYterian Medical Services Athlete of the Week 9/25/2024 Piedra Vista’s Noah Bouren

Piedra Vista High School Senior forward, Noah Bouren, continues to shine as a key player for the Panthers soccer team, leading them to an impressive 8-2 record this season. With 14 goals already, Noah’s consistent scoring ability has been a driving force behind his team’s success. This past week, he added to his season tally by scoring in both of the Panthers’ victories—3-1 against Durango and 2-0 against Bayfield. The win over Durango was a milestone, marking the first time in school history that Piedra Vista has defeated the Colorado powerhouse.

Noah’s leadership on the field is evident. As the team’s captain, his teammates look to him not only for his physical ability but also for his tactical awareness and ability to score in critical moments. His leadership and determination have been vital to the team’s strong performance this season as they prepare for a challenging district schedule.

“Noah broke Piedra Vista’s single-season scoring record during his junior year,” said head coach Matt Cramer. “By the time he graduates, he’ll likely be the all-time leading scorer—if he isn’t already. His leadership on and off the field is outstanding, and he’s just as impressive in the classroom. What sets him apart is his commitment to improvement. He works hard every day at practice, always looking for ways to get better, and that dedication shows when he’s on the field.”

As Noah and the Panthers gear up for district play in one of the toughest 5A districts in the state, currently ranked 9th in New Mexico, his influence as a team leader and goal scorer will be pivotal. With district competition on the horizon, Noah’s blend of talent, work ethic, and leadership will be critical as Piedra Vista aims to make a deep postseason run.

Congratulations to Noah Bouren, this week’s San Juan County Sports Athlete of the Week!
