volleyball – Farmington Scorpions sweeps bloomfield bobcats in straight sets.

Farmington, NM – The Farmington Scorpions put on a commanding performance last night, sweeping the Bloomfield Bobcats in straight sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-12) to secure another win in non-district play.

The Scorpions were in control from start to finish, with Emerson Bourland leading the charge at the net. Her dominance was evident as she delivered several crucial blocks and spikes, keeping the Bobcats on their heels throughout the match.

Farmington’s serving was a key factor in the victory, with strong contributions from every player. The Scorpions’ consistent and aggressive serves kept Bloomfield struggling to find a rhythm.

The setting duo of Jayla Yoder and Caris Dale orchestrated the offense flawlessly, allowing Farmington’s hitters to find open spots on the court and deliver decisive kills. Their precision and poise under pressure played a crucial role in the team’s success.

Coach Duran praised the team’s unwavering focus and determination. “We stayed strong from start to finish,” Duran said. “The girls were locked in, and it showed in how they played tonight.”

Duran also highlighted the impact of the enthusiastic home crowd, the school band, and the cheerleaders. “The energy in the gym was electric, and it really gave us an extra boost,” she said. “Our fans, band, and cheerleaders made a huge difference. We could feel their support all night.”

With this win, Farmington continues to build momentum as they aim for a deep postseason run. The Scorpions will look to carry this energy into their next matchup as they prepare to face a tough Monument Valley Team next at Scorpion Arena.
